SharanyaAlthough Sharanya started learning Yoga at the age of 10, she was inspired by it only when she started working for a1000yoga, after two years at India Today. She was fairly disheartened by her corporate life and joined a1000yoga in its formative years. She has practically worked in every department of a1000yoga and it was after seeing and interacting with many of the teachers here that she decided to go deeper into her practice. Her practice led her to acquiring a 250hr certification from Sanathana Yoga Shala (SYS250) and RPYT (Pre natal and Post Natal). She also has some training in Iyengar Yoga with props and uses them for therapeutic purposes, which she learnt from Amrutha Bindu Yoga Shala. “Yoga is for all” and keeping that in mind, Sharanya designs her classes to give practitioners an ethereal feeling with a deep level of concentration. She is also very particular about the health issues of various practitioners and makes sure to introduce more therapy based practices to them and ensures that they do not get injured in any way. In her free time, Sharanya loves gardening, cooking and travelling.

“Yoga is the way I find answers for everything. So I feel relaxed, calm, fit and rejuvenated every time I practice yoga.”

Make Yoga part of Life

The principles laid out in Patanjali’s yoga sutras dating back to 500 B.C. are still very relevant today, even in our modern information world. Yoga has evolved a lot from the days of Patanjali; it has taken different forms to meet the varying needs of practitioners all along its journey. Yoga continues to accept all changes, like the ocean accepts the river, absorbs, assimilates and grows. (A distinctive feature of sanaatan dharma of India)
