KalaKala specializes in the Krishnamacharya tradition, especially Therapeutic Yoga. Even when she designs her classes, she sets a focus for the class (Core/ upper back/ lower back), but the flow of the class follows the Krishnamachaya tradition. Kala started her Yoga journey in 2005 at the Bihar School of Yoga and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Before Kala started teaching Yoga, she lived the corporate life and worked for Citibank, SAP labs and McKinsey with a total of 15 years of experience. Currently, she runs a business alongside teaching Yoga. She has been teaching Yoga regularly since 2009. Teaching and practicing Yoga is a source of Kala’s “Joie de Vivre”. Her regular practice of Yoga has helped her overcome severe lower back pain.

Make Yoga part of Life

The principles laid out in Patanjali’s yoga sutras dating back to 500 B.C. are still very relevant today, even in our modern information world. Yoga has evolved a lot from the days of Patanjali; it has taken different forms to meet the varying needs of practitioners all along its journey.
