A1000yoga is proud to be hosting the 24 hour Worldwide Yoga Marathon starting tomorrow, 19th June, Sunday. If you’d like to be a part of this celebration toward the International Day of Yoga, all you have to do is select your choice of participation – in studio or virtual – and then just follow the protocol. Read on to know more:
|STUDIO PARTICIPATION||VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION|
|The studio segment of the marathon will be a 12 hour relay from 6 AM to 6 PM IST (GMT +5:30 h) on the 19th of June, 2016.
This segment will be conducted in our Indiranagar studio :
No.42, HAL III Stage, 80 ft Road,
The sessions will be led by our senior yoga instructors
To register, please send a mail to to Anjali (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Leena(email@example.com) , sharing your name, phone number and the preferred time to join the relay*.Please use ‘MARATHON’ in the subject line.
* If your preferred slot is not available, we will give you the choice of other slots.
Please carry your own yoga mat for the session
The virtual segment of the marathon will be conducted between 19th June 6 AM IST – 20th June 6 AM IST (GMT+5:30 h)
You can participate virtually from any part of the world.
To register, please send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating your name, the names of other participants (if it’s a group session), the duration of your planned session, and the city & country you will be joining us from. Please use ‘MARATHON’ in the subject line.
You will need to create a video* of your participation capsule, upload it on YouTube ** and share the URL with us at email@example.com. Please use ‘MARATHON URL’ in the subject line and mail us within 24 hours of your participation, stating the actual duration of your session. You can also send some pictures and participant inputs from your session.
*Please ensure that the video quality is 720p or below
*You will need a gmail account to upload the video on YouTube
This protocol is to unite all participants, both from the studio and our virtual relays, to make a start towards inspiring #a1000beginnings:
1. Guided by the teacher/group leader, pay your gratitude in silence to a person who enabled a beginning for you.
2. Follow this up with the yoga practice of your choice, for your chosen duration.
3. End the session with a (vocalised) determination towards how you will enable others to make a beginning.
4. Close by singing “Asatoma Sat Gamaya” at the end of the practice (optional). Send in your registrations at the earliest!
International Day of Yoga Celebration
For Yoga enthusiasts: Free yoga week
If you haven’t experienced yoga yet, this is your chance. We extend an open invitation to each one of you to participate in a free class, conducted at any of our studios from 15th-21st of June. Get in touch with the nearest studio manager to book your slot (details on contact page).
For teachers: Yogdaan opportunities
From 15th-21st of June, we are conducting free yoga classes and specially designed workshops at various places – schools, colleges, work spaces and hospitals. If you are a trained yoga teacher, you can make your yogdaan (contribution) towards this mission by offering your yoga expertise for an hour, a day or a week – it’s completely voluntary.
To confirm your participation towards this week-long yogdaan, kindly fill up the Yogadaan form. We’ll get in touch with you with further details.
For all: Worldwide Yoga Relay
We are initiating a 50 hours yoga relay on 19th June 2016 to unite the yoga community around the globe to the mission of #a1000beginnings. This relay will begin with our senior teachers leading yoga sessions for 12 hours at our Indiranagar studio (6 am IST onwards) and end on 21st June (8 am IST). You can participate in person from our studios or virtually from anywhere around the world.
