Arati-NAarti’s first Yoga class happened by accident when back in 2005 her Husband called a Yoga teacher home but he couldn’t make it for class and so she opted to continue and has been hooked since then. She was never a sporty person, just the occasional visit to the gym. She is a graduate in Psychology and worked as a Counsellor for a few years. Her first Yoga teacher felt that she would be good at teaching Yoga and constantly encouraged her to do so. “I really enjoy teaching Hata Yoga as it builds balance, focus and strength and this in turn reflects when I plan a class”. She is extremely passionate about photography and travel.

“Yoga has changed me as a person, it has given me purpose and peace. I have shed many inhibitions and become a stronger and more confident person. It has opened up a new world for me.”

Aarti is an E-RYT200, RYT300, RCYT, and has been part of the TTC faculty since 2015. She teacher the Yoga Practical session drawing immensely from her personal experience.

Make Yoga part of Life

The principles laid out in Patanjali’s yoga sutras dating back to 500 B.C. are still very relevant today, even in our modern information world. Yoga has evolved a lot from the days of Patanjali; it has taken different forms to meet the varying needs of practitioners all along its journey. Yoga continues to accept all changes, like the ocean accepts the river, absorbs, assimilates and grows. (A distinctive feature of sanaatan dharma of India)
